What is your Next Chapter?

Jul 24, 2017

Today I’m visiting with our good friend, Terry Hershey. If you’re a frequent listener of show then you’re familiar with Terry Hershey, who is a regular guest on the show. Terry is a prolific writer, conference keynote speaker, renowned landscape architect, and spiritual advisor.

Today, I plan to chat thoughtfully about “The Meaning of Life.” So many people struggle with it as have I for the last few years. But I’ve come to the conclusion it’s not all that complicated. That’s what I want to talk about today.

In his blog, Sabbath Moment, Terry quoted Joseph Campbell saying, “Life itself has no meaning,” Joseph Campbell wrote. “However, each of us has meaning, and we bring it to life.”

With that quote we begin. We end with only 2 things you need to do to find meaning in your life.

My special guest today is author and entrepreneur Jim Palmer. Jim is the Founder of the Dream Business Academy as well as the host of Dream Business Coach TV and a weekly podcast titled Dream Builders Radio. If I count correctly he has authored eight books. Today I want to talk about his latest book, “Just Say Yes.”

Although Jim’s primary audience is small business owners and entrepreneurs, his insights on living “a life that matters” are remarkable. I read “Just Say Yes” and quickly decided I have to get this guy on The Next Chapter with Charlie. I’d like to talk about “Just Say Yes to the Life You Really Want” and I can’t wait to hear his amazing insights.

You can more on Jim at www.getjimpalmer.com

After our show last week with Shane Roberson our studio Producer, Paul Roberts, challenged our guest on the validity of the newest corporate initiatives around Corporate Culture. Paul was so impassioned about the subject that it prompted me to suggest a Round 2.

I have no idea what will happen today as we have asked Paul to share his concern. We’re doing this today because I don’t think Paul is alone. Is the popular notion of improving “Corporate Culture” just the latest version of “The Mission Statement?”

My guest today for the second consecutive week is Shane Roberson. Shane is a corporate consultant for a consulting firm named TAG—an organization deeply committed to improving corporate culture.

My guest today is Shane Roberson. I first met Shane a couple years ago with our good friend Terry Hershey. Shane is an expert in leadership and organizational development with more than 20 experience.

But Shane’s passion and the topic of our podcast today is all about crafting thriving organizational cultures. He comes alongside individuals, teams, and organizations to understand “why they exist” as a means to make an impact on the organization.

Today I want to talk about organizational, family, and individual cultures. What works and what doesn’t.

Oh… one more note: Shane is also co-author the book, Your Intentional Difference which taps into the differences he seeks to bring out in everyone he encounters.

You can catch Shane at:
