The Next Chapter with Charlie

For the last 20 years, I was an Executive Coach to CEO’s of larger corporations. Now I am moving on to MY Next Chapter. I invite you to join me in this journey. It makes no difference if you are retiring or making any significant change to your life. We are all on the same path. So tune in and tag along as we give insights and inspirations on how you can create your own NEXT CHAPTER. We will talk about “what you can do next.” It might deal with transition, desire, curiosity, loss, or anything else that has to do with our Next Chapter in Life.

What is your Next Chapter?

Aug 15, 2017

My guest today is Mike, a Vice-President at Citizens Business Bank. Mike has been involved with finance and banking for more than 25 years. The division he guides today at Citizen’s Bank continues to increase sales dramatically every year under his leadership.

But leadership nor banking are our subjects today. No, today we are going jump into Mr. Peabody’s “Way Back Machine.” Surely you remember the Rocky and Bullwinkle Show.

Well, whether or not we are going back to the 1980’s and before when Mike was a baseball player, both in youth ball and in pro ball. What I want to talk about today are the mostly unknown trials of Minor League Baseball.

Mike played baseball his entire life, that is, until he didn’t play any more and THAT is what I want to talk about today. This is one man’s story of the kind of life you probably never knew really existed—the journey to professional baseball.

Today my special guest is Karen Hill. With more than 20 years experience in leading corporations and individuals, Karen is passionate about enabling individuals to realize their full potential.

Karen is a multi-gifted consultant, with past positions of Vice President, Department Head, and consultant with companies like General Motors, Hughes Aircraft, and Right Management (an international talent management company).

In 2012 Karen started her own consulting firm, develop inc. She is passionate about people and their development but two things objectives seem guide her many talents: (1) Enabling Individuals to realize their full potential, and (2) Corporate Social Responsibility.

I’d like to devote half of our time to Corporate Social Responsibility. I think with the influence of the Millennials, many companies are moving toward that noble cause.
