Show Notes

On today’s show my very special guest, Caitlyn Cogan Doemner, and I discuss some ideas that have floating around in my mind for a bit. Ideas about a core philosophy of love, kind of in line with the words of Jesus about loving your neighbor…

... only I want to be rather specific when my neighbor is the one struggling at the bottom level of Maslow’s hierarchy—those with access to water, food, shelter, warmth, and clothing. Those I refer to as the poor and disenfranchised.

Here’s how I began my latest blog written the day after the election results:

Today is a day of sorrow and fear for one-half of the American public. It seems to me that fear and loss of hope largely represent the emotions of those who long for social justice. I understand. However, it also seems to me that social justice is less a governmental thing than it is a matter of personal responsibility

As is her style, Caitlyn Cogan Doemner offers both brilliant and practical insights into our role as “our brother’s keeper.”
