  1. In episode, I plan to visit with myself. Haha.

Well, not totally by all by myself. My producer and radio veteran Paul Roberts will chat about the value of Travel and the benefits gained from experiences with people and cultures outside the US.

I am now in that dreaded place in life people call Retirement. If one is not careful the only things to look forward to are boredom and uselessness. But that’s a whole nother podcast. In fact it’s a book, in 5 years, when a high percentage of Baby Boomers will be forced into some kind of humongous life-change.

So I’ve had to redesign my life of so-called leisure, which sounds a whole lot better than it really is. At 67 I consider myself as entering into my Final Chapter. Shoot it maybe 25 years more and it may be one. But I plan to live it out by great Dylan Thomas great poem: Do Not Go Gentle into that Good Night (which is a reference of death). Check out the first stanza:

Do not go gentle into that good night,
Old age should burn and rave at close of day;
Rage, rage against the dying of the light.

My plan is to rage, rage against the dying of the light.

One way I “rage” is travel. In this episode I will discuss the wonderful lessons of older age and the even more wonderful lessons from foreign travel.
